The trader's bookshelf

As traders, we work with data (in our case, being technically motivated directional traders, mostly price and volume data). Understanding data, uncovering patterns in them, and finding ways to apply the findings of our research into the future, with sufficient probability to expect a profit, is a major part of our job.

And there’s no better introduction into the art and science of navigating the world of data than Data Analysis for Business, Economics, and Policy by Prof. Békés and Prof. Kézdi. This book, an outstanding work that will gently introduce crucial topics even to the most uninitiated, should be on every trader’s bookshelf.

The book was published in 2021, and sadly, Prof. Kézdi passed away in the same year. We dedicate this post to his memory.
