Sending email from Ninjatrader

Most Remek! products include an email alert functionality and a sound alert functionality, which can come quite handy in our trading.

For starters, find below a few ways to make good use of our alerts. Feel free to explore other ways to use alerts to improve your trading!

Note: for the email alert in your Remek! product to work (for the email to actually arrive at the destination), you will need to set up the email service in your Ninjatrader. You can also refer to your Ninjatrader Help for details.

Setting up email alerts in Ninjatrader 8.1

For your convenience, we have prepared a page to get you started if you want to send emails from Ninjatrader. You may also want to visit this thread in our Forum for further discussion. Back to sound alerts:

• having your Remek! indicator or strategy send you sound alerts can be not only useful but healthy as well. With a simple bluetooth earpiece connected with your computer, there’s no need to be glued to the chair even if you’re an intraday trader. You might be in the kitchen making coffee, working out on your rowing machine, or playing the piano, you’ll never miss an event again, whether it’s
  
  - a sound alert to indicate a trending day may be starting in your Remek!CurrentDayOHL (remember, there’s about 1 to 1.5 trending days on US index futures per month. Catching those trending days as ‘low hanging fruits’ is paramount for intraday US index traders to be profitable on an annual basis)
  
  - or large players may have stepped up, as signalled by your Remek!VolumeTickWithSound
  
  - or your Remek!MomentumPro IndicatorOnly triggers (and remember: when you have this indicator send you a sound alert on your higher timeframe, that’s a “heads-up” for what is often an upcoming trade on your trading timeframe!)

• you can also set up your Remek! product to send you email alerts to any email address you specify (subject to your Ninjatrader being set up). Here, too, a wide range of possibilities are available, from ‘early warnings’ to ‘triggers’, so that wherever you are, whatever positions you manage, you’re always up to date.

Riding bitcoin

As the old saying goes, “we can’t control what the market does, we can only control how we respond to what the market does”. We might add we also do not have control over what timeframe our favourite setups emerge.
