fURTHER NOTES:

Check out our video on the latest release.

A note on Microsoft OneDrive: it’s crucial that you review Microsoft OneDrive’s settings on your computer, because OneDrive’s default settings may cause problems for Ninjatrader users. We have provided general information on potential issues related to OneDrive in our Forum. For best practices, also follow our blog for Ninjatrader related posts, as well as Ninjatrader’s own support forum.

  • Review Readmefirst.txt

  • Updating from a previous version? See what’s new. Make sure you always retain your current version’s install file so that you can revert back to that if you so choose.

  • ALWAYS back up your Ninjatrader 8 folder first! One easy way to do this is by simply copying your Documents/Ninjatrader 8 folder to Documents/Ninjatrader 8 Backup. (Note: it is not necessary to copy the db folder, that’s just market data.)

  • If you have a “dirty” Ninjatrader 8 (meaning you have error messages popping up, or a million different third party products that you have not used for years…), then it’s best to start with a clean NT8. Clean means a) you have backed up your current NT8, b) you have removed NT8 from the Control Panel AND c) you have renamed your Documents/Ninjatrader 8 folder to something else, say, Documents/zNinjatrader 8. When you have a clean NT8, only import/install third party products on your production machine that you will actually use in your production trading. (It is advised you test out new software not on your production machine, but on a dedicated test machine.)

  • If you have a previous version of the same Remek! product on your computer and/or in your NT8, a) remove it from your Windows Control Panel and b) remove it from your NT8.

  • You may receive an “unknown publisher” message from Windows when you run our install file. Our install file is safe, you can safely proceed with the installation.

To install the latest version, proceed as follows:

  1. To recap, we recommend copying Documents/Ninjatrader 8/ (except for the /db folder) to Documents/Ninjatrader 8 Backup/ in order to have a backup copy of your Ninjatrader folder.

  2. Save your current downloaded installation file in a folder of your choice. Always retain a copy of this file.

  3. Ensure NT8 is closed.

  4. Double-click on the downloaded installation file to run it. This will copy files in the appropriate subfolders in your Ninjatrader 8 folder.

  5. Open NT8 and import the Remek_42x (*.zip) file in Documents > Ninjatrader 8 > bin > Remek! into NT8.

(New to Ninjatrader? See this short video on how to do Step 5. Also see our NT8 thread in our Forum for more Ninjatrader tips and best practices.)

  6. Generate your Machine ID and email it to support@remek.ca to have your license activated.

  7. Restart NT8 and open the Remek! 420 workspace.

If Windows warns you: our file is safe. Click on More info and continue the installation.

DOWNLOAD the Remek! Install file. See what’s new.

Your NT8 bin folder after running Remek! Installer.exe. If you don’t see these files, see this thread.

Note: You may receive a warning message from Windows. You can safely ignore that warning, our install file is safe and harmless. If you require assistance or just want to chat, simply book a FREE onboarding session.

Futures, foreign currency and options trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing one's financial security or lifestyle. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.
