REMEK! MOMENTUM PRO STR TECHNICAL REFERENCE: SETTINGS

Setup: Basic NT8 strategy settings. Refer to NT8’s documentation for details.

 

Chart label: settings define what text is displayed at the top of the chart.

Alert Message: Settings to customize the setup and signal messages on the chart.

Strategy Buttons: Settings to customize the colour of the strategy buttons.

Strategy Options:
ATM strategy template:
name of ATM template you wish to get triggered upon the signal
Auto reverse: select if you want the strategy to take an opposite signal while a trade is still is progress
Signals traded: You have the option to trade simple pullbacks, complex pullbacks or both.
Auto-switch off: select if you want the strategy to switch off automatically when the current trade is finished (useful for unattended and/or overnight trades)
Entry order type: Market order, limit order or market order with autoreverse.

Limit order tick offset: For limit orders, how many ticks back from the last price you want to place the limit order.
Limit order working bars: For limit orders, after how many bars you want to cancel the order if it remains unfilled.

Force exit: force exiting the trade after Number of bars

Trading Hours are user-definable. The strategy will only place orders during the hours defined here.

Keltner Channel: settings for Remek! Keltner. (These settings serve as input for the PRO STR/BT/BTX algorithms.)

Fast Trigger/Slow Trigger: defines settings for the two linear regression calculations that provide input for the PRO STR/BT/BTX algorithms.

Coral Filter/ADXVMA: Two customized Remek! trend definition filters that provide input for the PRO STR/BT/BTX algorithms.

Trend Filter: there are four choices to define the trend (Remek Composite is a weighted average of the other three). This field is an input for the PRO STR/BT/BTX algorithms.

Chop Filter:
Surpresses signals in choppy market conditions. Chop filter active if option selected. The filter’s sensitivity can be adjusted with the Chop ATR multiplier setting. This field is an input for the PRO STR/BT/BTX algorithms.

Trade Setups: Settings to further finetune trading signals.
ATR multiplier complex/simple: adjusts the cut-off point between simple and complex pullbacks
Min. number bars: bars required between two signals
new in 3.41 Activate buffer zone: if selected, trends end (and thus setups and triggers suppressed) if and when price touches the opposite Keltner. Trends are reactivated when a new trend starts. Click here for more.
new in 3.41 Buffer zone mode: defines which price (out of the price points available in NT8) activates the buffer zone if it is switched on
Signal count active: if selected, system will supress signals in the current trend after the number of signals defined in the Max number of signals setting is reached.

HTF Parameters: this section can be used to optionally define a higher timeframe on which consolidation areas will be defined and optionally displayed on the trading timeframe. Values entered provide input for the PRO STR/BT/BTX algorithms.

Display Options: These settings can be used to customize what is displayed on the charts. This is for visual purposes only: what is selected here does NOT provide input for the PRO STR/BT/BTX trading algorithms.

Further Display Settings: These settings can be used to customize what is displayed on the charts. This is for visual purposes only: what is selected here does NOT provide input for the PRO STR/BT/BTX algorithms.

LTF and HTF Trade Alerts: these setting define if trade alerts and accompanying sound alerts should be generated when a signal arrives.
